COME NOVEMBER, MILLIONS OF WOMEN WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP-VANCE. NOT SURE WHY.

This is not an ad for the Harris-Walz ticket. I am not pushing for “Women for a Woman Solidarity” or the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsuit”. All I’ll say is that neither Kamala Harris nor Tim Walz have ever proposed policies or done anything that could be considered uniquely detrimental to women. The same cannot be said for Donald Trump, JD Vance, or even the most recent addition to the triumvirate, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Let’s start with Donald Trump and his relationships with women. Married three times, cheated on every wife. Admitted to lustful feelings towards his own daughter. Accused of sexual misconduct up to and including rape by over two dozen women, including at least one minor. Found civilly liable of one case of sexual assault. Appointed Supreme Court justices that voted to take away a woman’s ownership of her own body, essentially demoting her to second class citizen status. Loves to insult a woman’s looks and brains, especially those of a minority woman. And then there’s the notorious Access Hollywood tape. Trump not only bragged about kissing attractive women and grabbing their privates without asking, but he also told a story about trying to seduce a married woman and then denigrating her later because she refused his advances. And he still thinks he is pretty at 78-years-old.

Let’s take a look at RFK Jr., next. Also married three times; also an admitted serial philanderer who whined about “lust demons” being his cross to bear. His second wife Mary was a troubled woman. She reportedly found a thick diary that Bobby Jr. had kept, detailing and rating his sexual interludes with 37 other women during their marriage. She hung herself in a barn just before the divorce he requested was finalized.

Before going any further, I am not making any moral pronouncements against Trump and Kennedy based on strict religious doctrine. Nobody is perfect. You meet someone - a co-worker, a neighbor, the spouse of a friend - and experience a physical attraction and/or a mental or emotional connection. Suddenly, an affair happens. Not wise, not ideal, but something that happens every day. But if a man is constantly seeking out sexual encounters, they are not accidental occurrences. This sort of behavior is a sign of misogyny and objectification. The women involved are not seen as real humans - they are targets, conquests, and prey for a predator. Moving on …

JD Vance, Trump’s VP pick, is virulently anti-abortion and almost the forgotten one since RFK Jr. came onboard. He doesn’t seem to disrespect all women. He just badmouths those who - by choice, chance, or physical inability - don’t have biological children of their own. He has called them “childless cat ladies (even if they have adopted children)“ who are “miserable in their own lives”. He has even maintained that they don’t really have the future of the country at heart. And though his total contribution to a pregnancy consists of a few minutes of grunting and a few seconds of spurting, he has the audacity to suggest that married couples with “real” kids should have more voting power than those without.

Quite the trio. They seem to think that a woman’s place is in the kitchen, the bedroom, the hotel room, and the delivery room. But in the Oval Office or the Situation Room? Not so much. If you don’t agree with their assessment, November 5th is the time to do something about it.
